Resident Evil 7

Capcom’s Resident Evil 7: Biohazard may have been snubbed by select purists since its reveal but it’s looking more and more intriguing with each passing reveal. The latest trailer from Capcom released at Gamescom showcased another perspective and otherworldly threat that players will need to overcome.

Also, unlike the Beginning Hour trailer, this is footage from the actual game itself. It takes place from the POV of a young woman desperately trying to escape from a lantern-wielding female spirit of sorts. In keeping with the found footage genre and the tapes players will uncover throughout the game, the video itself is meant to be blurry. The final game won’t feature the same kind of effects though.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is out in January 2017 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. It’s also heading to VR exclusively for Sony’s PlayStation VR headset. What are your thoughts on the game’s horrifying world? Let us know in the comments.
