Resident Evil 7 Biohazard

A lot of high profile games will have additional functionality on the PlayStation 4 Pro, Sony’s more powerful PS4 system that allows for better graphics and enhanced functionality. One of those games will be Resident Evil 7, the next entry in the long running survival horror series.

Capcom today confirmed that the game will support HDR and 4K resolutions on the PS4 Pro, though for the latter, it is highly unlikely that the game is actually natively rendering in 4K, and probably refers to the PS4 Pro’s unique 4K upscaling. Given that the game will also be supporting PlayStation VR on PS4, looks like Capcom is going all in on utilizing all the extra bonuses and new tech that Sony offers developers targeting the PlayStation platform.

Resident Evil 7 will launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC next January. The PS4 Pro will launch worldwide on November 10- however, it won’t be the only PS4 model capable of HDR, since that capability will be added to all PS4 models via today’s firmware update.
