While much of the Resident Evil discussion is centered around the back and forth leaks for Resident Evil 8 or the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 3, it can be easy to forget we’re effectively getting two titles from the franchise this April. Resident Evil Resistance will come with Resident Evil 3, effectively serving as its multiplayer mode, but also stands alone as its own 4v1 survivors vs mastermind take on the series. Now we got a look at two new additions to the game, one from the series’ roots and another more recently added to the mythos.

As revealed via the official PlayStation blog, Oswell E. Spencer, one of the founders and masterminds behind Umbrella that was mentioned as early as the first game, and Alex Wesker, who was introduced in Resident Evil Revelations 2, are coming to Resistance as Masterminds. Spencer will use Umbrella tech to attack survivors, such as the Disintegration Field. Wesker, on the other hand, has access to a terrifying new Bioweapon called Yateveo (seen below), as well as the ability to enhance other creatures that survivors must contend with.

Resident Evil Resistance will come with Resident Evil 3 when it launches April 3rd for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
