Resident Evil Revelations Releasing on August 29th for PS4, Xbox One

Nintendo Switch version of Revelations 1 and 2 confirmed for "late 2017".

Capcom’s Resident Evil Revelations will be arriving for PS4 and Xbox One on August 29th. Though the publisher had indicated they were coming, this is actually fairly closer than expected. It also confirmed that Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 would be releasing in “late 2017” for the Nintendo Switch.

Resident Evil Revelations first released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2013. It was ported to the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC later with Resident Evil Revelations 2 debuting in 2015 for PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One, PC and PlayStation Vita. The sequel took an episodic approach and released a new episode each month along with other bonus content.

Though Capcom showcased footage of the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Revelations in March, the announcement of a Nintendo Switch version comes out of left field. This is because producer Masachika Kawata said that Capcom had no plans of bringing Resident Evil to the Switch back in January 2017. Clearly plans changed somewhere down the line.
