Yes, we’re sort of surprised too.
Capcom’s Umbrella Corps, a competitive shooter that mixes Resident Evil with Counter-Strike, is available now for PS4 and PC. Yes, we didn’t really realize it either until it actually came out.
Mixing cover-based shooting with zombies, melee combat and some really awkward-looking movement, Umbrella Corps features 3 vs. 3 matches between teams in familiar locations like Spencer Mansion, China from Resident Evil 6 and even the Antarctic Base from Resident Evil: Code Veronica.
There are some interesting modes like Single Life, Multi-Mission and 4 Survivors Mode, the last one focusing on a map with limited resources. The launch trailer indicates that free maps and modes are currently in development so expect even more content down the line.
Umbrella Corps is available for $30 but you can pick up more weapons and cosmetics for $15 (the $40 Deluxe Edition includes the game and these extras). What are your thoughts on the game? Let us know in the comments below.
