Resident Evil Umbrella Corps Goes Old-School With Antarctic Base Map

Resident Evil: Code Veronica shines through briefly in this mess.

Resident Evil Umbrella Corps

Capcom’s competitive multiplayer shooter Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps has received a new trailer detailing the Antarctic Base map, which is pretty much the same area from Resident Evil: Code Veronica. The song in the beginning is actually from the latter’s antagonist Alexia Ashford.

The gameplay itself looks incredibly sordid though. The base features three levels and you can traverse through vents to get the drop on your enemies. That only highlights the game’s incredibly awkward looking crawling animations though. We also get a look at the Talonhawk melee weapon, the Wolfsbane handgun and the Mutated Zombie which will appear in Multi-Mission mode when using the SP DNA Hunter rule set. That rule set translates to killing all the mega zombies. Easier said than done considering their health and attack power.

Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps will be heading to PS4 and PC on June 21st in North America and Europe. Thoughts on the gameplay? Let us now below.
