Unbalanced Normal Mode

When starting out, your first instinct is probably to go with Normal Mode for that proper balance of story and difficulty. However, Normal difficulty is on the rather easy side. Part of this is because you’re given lots of ammo throughout, which in turn makes it possible to take down nearly every enemy (instead of having to strategically avoid or creatively dispose of some to conserve ammo). This further allows for accruing more Lei for weapon upgrades that in turn make you even stronger, and this is even without playing most of the side content for additional treasures. It’s fun, don’t get us wrong, but it also reduces the survival horror feel in a game that’s built on the same.
