Resident Evil Village

The hype and anticipation for Resident Evil Village have been building up over the last few weeks and months, and with the game launching imminently, they’re at a fever pitch. Ahead of its launch, Capcom have released a launch trailer- it’s very brief, at around half a minute in length, but it’s something.

Be warned though- the trailer is full of spoilers. There’s a lot of scenes in there that Capcom hadn’t shown up until now- and for good reason, seeing as many of them are from very, very, very late in the game. So, you know, if you want to head into the game blind, you should avoid this launch trailer.

Our review of Resident Evil Village went live yesterday, and we loved it. Awarding it a score of 9/10, we said, “Resident Evil Village expertly combines tense horror, thrilling action, engaging exploration, and compelling storytelling in a single sublime experience, delivering one of the best games in the history of Capcom’s beloved survival horror franchise.” You can read our full review through here.

Resident Evil Village launches tomorrow, on May 7, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. Capcom is also hosting a special launch livestream event tomorrow at 4:30 AM Pacific Time, where producer Tsuyoshi Kanda and director Morisama Sato will be in attendance.
