Playstation Move support

Yeah it looks gaudy, but it still makes you feel like a bad ass

A lot of hate gets thrown at motion controls but, when done well, they can prove to be a fun alternative to conventional control schemes. Killzone 3 was a great example of this, a hardcore game that was able to effectively incorporate the dreaded waggle without having to dumb down its gameplay. Sure it may not be the first to do so, but Resistance 3 seems like it will offer compelling support for the PS Move.

It’s in flashy 3D

I guess it'll look pretty swish in 3D, though we'll just have to use our imaginations for now

The whole 3D thing is getting thrown around a lot these days and, even though I strongly hold the view that it isn’t necessary to fully immerse the player, it’s always nice to have the option. Many recent PS3 exclusive have offered stereoscopic 3D support, and Resistance 3 will continue this popular trend come September.

Local co-op mode

Because sometimes the experience is worth sharing

It returns. Anyone who’s had the pleasure of reading my articles consistently (he says smugly) will be well aware that I rant on about local co-op modes till the cows come home. And why not? Couch co-op is where it’s at, and Resistance 3 is decent enough to bring it back to the fore. It was sorely missed in Resistance 2, but Insomniac are now on the right path. After all, sharing is caring.
