Retailer leaks Dead Island: Riptide release date and special edition

Why am I not surprised?

Games retailer EB Games has accidentally leaked the release date for next year’s Dead Island: Riptide.

The image above is featured prominently on their home page, and it shows that the game will be releasing on April 23rd next year, and that if you pre-order the game, you get the special edition.

The special edition will include an “alternate skin pack”, a “pack of weapon mods” and a “digital strategy map”.

This image looks pretty legit, to be honest, so there’s very little chance that this information is inaccurate.

An April release date is good for the fans- earlier than we thought it would be. But you’ve got to wonder, with a competitor in the “zombie” genre- The Last of Us- releasing around the same window, is it a good move? Or are the two not any kind of competition to each other?
