An issue that caused those playing online multiplayer to return to Yokohama, with Edo becoming inaccessible, is also fixed.

A new update for Team Ninja’s Rise of the Ronin is live, bringing three fixes to the open-world action RPG. The first is for an issue where players would return to Yokohama after playing online multiplayer with Edo effectively locked off.

Another issue occurred when changing the arrow/earthenware/ball/file pipe types when switching to the rifle as your secondary weapon. It caused the latter to become unusable, which is a problem considering it’s one of the best ranged weapons in the game.

Finally, some treasure chests – specifically in Chiba Dojo, Kyobashi, and the Military Academy, Kanda in the Edo region – were opened before the player discovered them, affecting the collection rate. That should also be fixed with Ver. 1.30.

Rise of the Ronin is available for PS5 – check out our review here, and stay tuned for details on further updates in the future. Neither Koei Tecmo nor Sony have announced sales figures, but the title debuted in third place on Famitsu’s weekly sales chart and fifth in Gfk’s UK physical sales chart.
