Rise of the Tomb Raider PS4

Square Enix’s Rise of the Tomb Raider has a release date for PlayStation 4 – it will be out on October 11th and features a lot of new features including PlayStation VR support.

The new content includes a new chapter called Blood Ties which invites you to explore Croft Manor and Lara’s Nightmare where players will fight waves of zombies. All previous DLC, Expedition Cards, extra outfits, weapons and more will be included along with a limited art book. Then there’s the new Extreme Survivor mode with no checkpoints and having to scavenge resources for lighting campfires to save at.

As for PlayStation VR support, it will allow players to explore Croft Manor in first person. A new co-op mode called Endurance will allow players to team up and try to survive while battling enemies. It will support two players overall. If that weren’t enough, along with the Hailstorm pistol and cold weather outfit from Tomb Raider 3, there will be a classic Lara card pack to allow players to select different Lara Croft models from the series’ history.

There won’t be a Season Pass for PS4 – all of this content is included with the base version of the gam. The content will also be coming to Xbox One and PC players with the Season Pass though VR support remains on PS4.
