Risk of Rain 2

Hopoo Games’ Risk of Rain 2 has spent almost a year in early access but it’s still receiving updates. The next will be Artifacts 2.0, arriving on March 31st for PC and adding Artifacts to the sequel for the first time. Earned from completing challenges in-game, they unlock different modifiers which can be selected for runs and change them significantly.

While the developer hasn’t outlined each and every Artifact, it did note that some are ” new, some are returning,” from the previous game and “range from ‘oh fun’ to ‘who hurt you?'” Along with Artifacts, there will be a new stage – Sky Meadow – along with new foes and a new hidden boss. Players will also be able to unlock new Skill Variants for the Commando, Huntress, Engineer and Acrid.

New equipment and items along with a new Lunar item of “dubious purpose” will also be introduced. The Engineer will also receive a new skin that can be unlocked by completing a challenge. With Risk of Rain 2’s first anniversary coming up, there will be a 20 percent discount on Steam when Artifacts 2.0 launches. Stay tuned for more details in the coming week.
