Robert Cogburn, who was the lead designer for multiplayer in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, will also be the lead multiplayer designer for the upcoming Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Naughty Dog confirmed. “Ricky misspoke in this video; Robert Cogburn is the lead MP designer on Uncharted 4. We’re all working on it together though and making U4 MP awesome.”
Cogburn has been teasing and hyping up the multiplayer of Uncharted 4 for a while now, so it makes sense that he has actually been working on it all this time. But personally, I am not so sure that I am excited by this development- you see, I am one of those people who preferred the multiplayer in Uncharted 2 over Uncharted 3- I think Uncharted 3’s multiplayer missed the point entirely. Knowing that the same guy will be helming the multiplayer for Uncharted 4 diminishes my hype for it significantly.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is due out on PS4 in Spring next year. Stay tuned.
