Rocket League 2nd Anniversary Update Adding New Map, Cars and Songs on July 5th

Competitive play Season 5 will also begin.

Psyonix’s Rocket League is still going strong in terms of popularity and the developer is bring another big update to celebrate its second anniversary. Releasing on July 5th, the update will add a new map called Champions Field.

This will be available in competitive and online playlists along with private matches. Players will also receive new Overdrive Crates from online matches which have a chance to drop two new vehicles – the Animus GP and Centio V17. Various cosmetics will also drop such as black market items, decals, wheels and more. A new customization option called “Goal Explosions” has also been confirmed though more information is to come.

Along with an updated audio system, new Achievements/Trophies and options for soundtracks, the update will also bring 18 new tracks from Monstercat. Finally, the update will see Season 4 of Competitive Mode end. Season 5 will begin as well with Trails being the reward for those who achieved Bronze rank upwards.
