RUMOUR: Bulletstorm devs to develop prequel Gears of War trilogy

Posted By | On 23rd, Nov. 2011

Seeing as Gears of War brings in tons of money for both Epic Games and Microsoft, and that each game in the series is very well received, it would be crazy to kill off the franchise- we all already know we haven’t seen the last of Sera.

According to a rumour in Official Xbox Magazine, a Gears of War prequel trilogy is on the cards, as we’ve all predicted, but here’s the real deal- Bulletstorm developers, People Can Fly, will be developing the trilogy, if this rumour is anything to go by.

Gears of War will live on, of course, but in what form? The Ball sees a prequel trilogy developed by Epic-owned People Can Fly (Bulletstorm) as a likely scenario,” the mag says.

This might actually be a good decision since Bulletstorm was, the short campaign and zero replay value aside, a very good game. People Can FLy have proved that they’re a talented development team, and the Gears franchise would be in safe hands if they were indeed working on it.

Here’s what we want to see in the next Gears game.
