After the controversy that hounded Double Helix when it was revealed that Killer Instinct would technically be running at 720p, one would think that it’s getting tougher for most next generation games to hit the golden standard. Regardless, Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg has added Ryse: Son of Rome to the list and has confirmed that it will be running at 1080p on Xbox One.

Crytek also revealed some new execution videos for Ryse, which you can check out below. Reminder: these aren’t for the weak of heart. Ryse is indeed a friggin’ bloody game.

Releasing exclusively for the Xbox One, Ryse: Son of Rome will see gamers taking on the role of Roman General Marius Titus and commanding a legion of troops for various missions. This means lots of hacking, lots of slashing and a ton of QTEs, some which allow your legion to come to your aid in battle. Ryse: Son of Rome will be releasing for Xbox One when the console launches worldwide on November 22nd.
