Fight for Rome

Crytek have released a new trailer for Ryse Son Of Rome, the upcoming Xbox One launch exclusive. The trailer acts as both an epic introductory cinematic and a means by which to familiarize gamers with the plot and central characters we’ll be dealing with in the actual game.

Let’s start with the most obvious: The visuals. The graphics for Ryse Son Of Rome look excellent, which is really to be expected for a next-fen game, but still, that’s not to say that we don’t appreciate it. The writing and voice acting – as least as far as we can tell by the trailer – both look to be well thought out and executed as well.

The combat is nice and bloody, as well as well choreographed as far as the trailer goes. And from the looks of things, battles will take place on an epic, all out war caliber scale. Not only on land, but by see as well, as we are treated to a few scenes depicting an invading fleet of ships. All in all this trailer paints a very, very promising picture of Ryse Son Of Rome.
