Samurai Shodown

SNK’s Samurai Shodown, the first game in the storied fighting game series since Samurai Shodown Anthology in 2009, has received a tantalizing new teaser trailer. Of course, if the gorgeous visuals don’t get you excited, then maybe news of its release window will. It’s slated to arrive in early-Summer 2019 and will have a simultaneous launch worldwide.

With EVO 2019 confirming Samurai Shodown as part of its featured line-up, it makes sense that it would release before the competition takes place. It will be the first game in the series to be developed on Unreal Engine 4, and will feature several iconic characters like Haohmaru, Galford, Tam Tam, and Jubei Yagyu among others. Of course, we wouldn’t be surprised if some new characters also popped up.

Samurai Shodown is slated to release for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Those attending PAX East 2019 from March 28th to 31st will be able to play it and test things out beforehand. In the meantime, stay tuned for more information as the months roll on.
