Samurai Shodown Tam Tam

It’s always great to see a classic franchise revived. SNK’s Samurai Shodown was on the shelf for a long time, but came back last year with a vengeance. The game has seen a lot of success as well as impressive continued support. That will remain true with another character coming soon.

The game has already got a few guest characters via DLC, including one that fits the cast well, and one that is a little more… fantastical. Now it’s been confirmed the game will get another season pass, it’s third, and in a video from Producer Yasuyuki Oda, the next character will be another guest one, but will come from within SNK. The Last Blade was a fighting game series that was similar to Samurai Shodown with weapon-based gameplay, but a more mythology-based story. It wasn’t mentioned which character will be making its way over, but we’ll keep you updated on that.

Samurai Shodown is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and Stadia. It has also been confirmed to be coming to the Xbox Series X and Series S sometime this winter.
