Samurai Shodown

SNK have spent a lot of time teasing out the roster in their upcoming Samurai Shodown. The game will feature a cast of classic fighters and newcomers with a new visual style. While we haven’t gotten all the core cast yet in their introduction trailers, SNK has decided to skip ahead just a bit and show the first DLC character that will come with the game’s season pass- Rimururu.

You can see the introduction below. She is actually the sister to a character who was introduced already, Nakoruru. Whereas Nakoruru uses fire, her younger sister uses ice to great effect. She can freeze her opponents or impale them with vicious icicles. It’ll be interesting to see how the two sisters mix in the final game.

Samurai Shodown will be available June 25th on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a Q4 release for Switch and PC, and will launch in November for Google’s Stadia. Those who purchase the game on PS4 and Xbox One by the 30th will receive the season pass, and by extension Rimururu, free of charge.
