Earlier we reported on the Samurai Shodown trailer that detailed the game’s Dojo mode and gave the game its western release date. But SNK isn’t quite finished yet, as another character trailer was released featuring Genjuro and his hard hitting style.

The ladies have had the spotlight over the last two trailers, with the reserved Shiki and then the spirited noblewoman Charlotte. Now the guys are back in town with Genjuro, who is a hulking man that doles out hard and heavy blows. He was introduced originally in Samurai Shodown 2 and has since served as the main rival to the series protagonist, Haohmaru, through the majority of released titles. As you can see from the trailer below, Genjuro swings his sword with considerable force, leading to devastating blows. He’s not the quickest character, but he’s not slow either, and he actually likes to use his feet for some swift kicks here and there, too

Samurai Shodown will release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One June 25th (27th in Japan), Q4 2019 on Switch, and at a later date on PC.
