Sabotage Studio’s long-awaited free expansion for Sea of Stars, Throes of the Watchmaker, finally has a release date. It goes live on May 20th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. Check out the latest trailer below.
As a post-game adventure, the expansion deals with the Watchmaker as Zale and Valere venture into his miniature world, Horloge. There are new skills and classes to master, Zale taking up juggling and acrobatics for Valere. A new party member, Artificer, also joins the fray.
Throes of the Watchmaker features over eight hours of new content, including brand-new areas, puzzles, enemies, bosses and a “cinematic budget” rivaling the base game. Stay tuned for more details en route to its release.
Sea of Stars launched in August 2023 and serves as a prequel to The Messenger. It sold over 250,000 units in its launch week and surpassed six million players as of November 2024.
