Sea of Thieves

While we’ve been hearing a little bit about Sea of Thieves and we’ve been getting more and more trailers showing off what the game is going to be, no one has been able to get its hands on the work in progress just yet. The company just announced they are going to be holding a closed Alpha test in the very near future.

The announcement came on the game’s official website and it will be coming on Friday, December 16. This Alpha will be offered to only 1,000 people who have previously signed up for the Insider program.

The company has said there will be more people invited as the test progresses over the course of the weekend. This is a very early test, to try and figure out just where the servers are at as far as what kind of load they can take. Check out the video below to see what neat features are going to be included in the Alpha.
