Rare has released a new trailer for Sea of Thieves, this time around showing off the main theme of the game’s thirteenth season: the ability to “become a villain” by taking on Captain Flameheart. Season 13 of Sea of Thieves will be going live on July 25. Check out the trailer below.

As part of Sea of Thieves: Season 13, players will be able to take part in a new world event where pirates will face off against Flameheart’s flagship. In the process, players will be able to seize the ship, and rain fire down on their enemies, complete with a skeleton crew that they can command.

The story of Sea of Thieves: Season 13 revolves around the return of Captain Flameheart, which results in the players getting to face off against the fearsome undead pirate in an epic boss fight.

Sea of Thieves recently made its PlayStation debut, prior to which it had already surpassed 40 million lifetime players. For more details, check out our review of the PS5 release of Sea of Thieves.
