Sea of Thieves Update Delayed to Next Week Following PC Issue

The Hungering Deep update will also be dated next week.

Sea of Thieves, Rare’s shared world pirate adventure, was to receive an update this week but unfortunately it’s been delayed. This is due to an issue with the PC version that must be addressed beforehand. Fortunately, would-be Jack Sparrows won’t have to wait long – the update will be coming next week instead.

It’s also worth noting that next week will see a release date for The Hungering Deep content drop. Along with a new timed event, new items to unlock and a new AI threat, there will also be a task that crew must complete to uncover said threat.

As for update 1.0.7, it will bring private crews that ensures players won’t have to deal with random players, name tags no longer appearing underwater and some cosmetic items that were missing from the shop. Some items that seemed too similar in the shops will also be removed.

Though Sea of Thieves hasn’t had the greatest critical reception, it is Rare’s fastest selling game ever. Five more content updates will be coming this year so there is more to look forward to.
