Sega Date EU PSN Release Of Mega Drive Classics

Yup, another day – another mega drive classics collection. This time with trophies, leaderboards and online co-op…  (sigh) If you haven’t already played it to your heart’s content; the original Sonic The Hedgehog was released on PSN today and Sonic 2, Streets of Rage 2, Golden Axe 2, Altered Beast and Comix Zone will all be coming to the network very soon. All of them will support trophies and leaderboards and all, bar Sonic 1 and Comix Zone, will support online co-op. The games will be free for PS Plus subscribers and £3.19/€3.99 a pop for everyone else.

Here is a partial list of release dates:

* Sonic 2 – free for PS Plus users on April 6th, released onto PS Store on April 20th
* Streets of Rage 2 – free for Plus users on May 4th, released onto PS Store on May 18th
* Golden Axe 2 – free for Plus users on June 1st, released onto PS Store on June 15th
