Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is receiving its own Game of the Year Edition today but current owners can experience its new update for free. This update brings new “forms” for Wolf to assume along with rematches against bosses. Along with being able to face off against any bosses that have been defeated, players can also attempt the Gauntlet of Strength – a single-life boss rush challenge.
As noted previously by PlayStation Blog Japan, some bosses will have new attacks in the Gauntlet. These are Genichiro Ashina, Father Owl and Isshin, the Sword Saint. “While they seem deceptively familiar, these battles will prove tricky for even the most skilled players,” says Activision. Regardless, if you fancy yourself a master of the game, then this is something to strive towards.
Along with the Gauntlet of Strength and new outfits, there are also Remnants. Remnants are essentially player ghosts which can be recorded and watched by others. You can even rate them, not unlike the messages in Dark Souls. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is currently available for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia – check out our official review for it here.
