Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the newest property from Dark Souls developer From Software. Published by Activision and slated to release in early 2019 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Sekiro is set in late 1500s Sengoku Japan and helmed by Hidetaka Miyazaki of Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne fame.

The story follows a warrior seeking to rescue his master, a young lord descended from an ancient bloodline. The “one-armed wolf” comes across a mysterious Ashina samurai also seeking the young lord and after being defeated, the protagonist awakens in a temple. Armed with a prosthetic limb, the story revolves around finding your master and exacting revenge.

Along with promising the same hardcore gameplay that From Software is known for, Sekiro will also encourage exploration as players find new items, characters and hdiden enemies. Combat is focused on swords though as the player can use the prosthetic arm for a variety of tools like weapons and grappling hooks. Masters these techniques will be the key to success.
