Lots of folks seem to be dropping out of PlayStation these days to go and do their own thing. Within a week of Nick Suttner heading out, Sony Interactive Entertainment’s VP for Third Party Relations and Developer Technology, announced via Twitter that he’s leaving to head back into game development

Boyes had this to say about his decision, “After an incredible journey here at PlayStation, I’ve made the very hard decision to return to the world of game development!” Boyes also reached out to fans of PlayStation and assured them that the team at Sony continues to be incredible despite his absence.

Although there’s never much love lost between many Xbox and PlayStation fans, Sony and Microsoft execs always make an warm-and-fuzzy show of comradery. Xbox boss Phil Spencer also sent his best wishes to Boyes.

Boyes founded Beefy Media, which is responsible for such recognisable works as World Gone Sour (IT HAS SOUR PATCH KIDS IN IT), to the iOS rendition of Scream 4. 2012 puzzle-platformer Pid is the highlight in Beefy Media’s catalog, with its endearing art design.
