Flying Wild Hog promised that a release date announcement was coming “soon” for Shadow Warrior 3 but the surprise may already been spoiled. The Xbox Store and PlayStation Store listings have been updated with a release date of March 1st. Pre-orders are available now though the Steam listing has yet to be updated.
The Pre-Order Bundle costs $49.99 and nets Shadow Warrior 1 and 2 along with a Limited Edition Katana Skin for use in the third game. Pre-ordering gives immediate access to the first two games, which is a nice way to pass the time before release. Though listed as playable on Xbox Series X/S, it doesn’t seem to be optimized for the console (or the PS5, for that matter).
Of course, time will tell if the developer or Devolver Digital announce dedicated current-gen versions so stay tuned. Shadow Warrior 3 is currently in development for PS4, PC and Xbox One. It will take roughly eight hours to complete (or 500 hours to finish 60 times).
