Shadowrun Returns Launch Trailer Released, Coming to Steam on July 25th

The cyberpunk strategy title is finally ready for release.

Funded through Kickstarter as one of the most successful campaigns for gaming, Harebrained Schemes’ Shadowrun Returns has received a new launch trailer ahead of the game’s release for Steam on July 25th.

Billed as a tactical turn based strategy game in the style of XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Shadowrun Returns will see tabletop RPG creator Jordan Weisman at the helm to create a game more in the vein of the original games (we’ll just pretend that FASA’s abortive first person shooter never happened). That being said, this is the same cyberpunk fantasy that we remember and love.

Shadowrun Returns will also feature a level editor, which allows players to create their own missions. Of course, the single player campaign will be varied enough, allowing players to even take a less combat-oriented approach on their way to victory. While releasing on Steam for PC, Shadowrun Returns will also be coming to Linux, Mac OS X, iPad and Android tablets.
