The Bubble Head Nurse is a combination of several troubled thoughts of James Sunderland. Its wrapped face evokes the death of his wife. The name itself, Bubble Head, is used to denote a “foolish or empty-headed person”, which could indicate how James felt towards the doctors and nurses when his wife was sick.
