Continuing Silent Hill’s Mythos
Perhaps what sets Silent Hill 3 apart the most from Silent Hill 2 is a deeper exploration into The Order from Silent Hill 1. While the first game seemingly closed with Harry being the hero and saving Alessa/Heather, things weren’t that simple after all. Several moving pieces, from The Order’s rebirth to Claudia’s rise as its leader, were in motion. And even if Harry ultimately did the right thing, it would catch up to him in the end with his death. To that end, Silent Hill 3 feels like a true continuation of the series’ mythos, advancing the core story of the town and its Cult.
