Skull and Bones

Ubisoft Singapore’s Skull and Bones has had its share of problems since its announcement at E3 2017. Nevertheless, development is progressing with gameplay being leaked from a recent alpha playtest. As if acknowledging this, the official Twitter posted a short gameplay clip with the words: “Keep your eyes on the horizon.”

The clip doesn’t show much aside from a ship with numerous spikes on the side sailing. An island with an oddly shaped peak can be seen behind it. It also asks fans to “Stay Tuned” at the end so perhaps there will be more details revealed in the very near future (which lines up with insider Tom Henderson’s previous report about upcoming announcements from the publisher).

As such, Ubisoft has announced plans to release the game by April 2023. Currently in development for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, no plans have been confirmed to bring it to current-gen consoles (even if it seems a given at this point). Stay tuned for more in the meantime.
