Ubisoft’s Skull and Bones is seemingly on track to launch next month, but interested players will have a chance to try it out with the upcoming open beta. A new trailer is available, hyping the same, with the promise of your progression carrying over into the game (and unlocking exclusive rewards). Check it out.

Starting February 7th at 6 PM PT and ending on February 11th at 3 PM PT, pre-loads for the open beta starting on February 6th at 1 AM PT.  Players can explore the Coast of Africa, Sainte-Anne’s pirate den in Red Isle, the Open Seas and the East Indies, where Telok Penjarah, another pirate den, awaits. You can take on Contracts, but it’s not possible to progress past Brigand rank.

However, you can explore freely while the beta is live with World Events and other activities to experience. Cross-play is also enabled, allowing different platforms to play together.

Skull and Bones launches on February 16th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Head here for more details on post-launch plans, which include new Takeover opportunities, World Events and Pirate Lords.
