Slay the Spire

Mega Crit Games’ Slay the Spire has a release date for Nintendo Switch. The card battling roguelite will be heading to the eShop on June 6th. For those who have wanted a compelling roguelite to play on the go, this is an extremely good option at $24.99.

Slay the Spire sees players choosing from three different classes and progressing through a random series of encounters in the titular spire. Bosses await at the end of each section and you’ll find various Artifacts, buffs, and other items to help in your journey. The real hook is the turn-based combat, which depends entirely on cards, how well they synchronize together, and how (or if) you outplay your opponent.

Slay the Spire first entered development on Steam Early Access for PC and gained a reputation for frequent updates and listening to feedback. It sold over 1.5 million copies on PC and is currently also available for PlayStation 4. Stay tuned for more updates when it’s eventually out for Nintendo Switch.
