We have a fresh new look at SOL Shogunate, a title that’s offering a fresh action-RPG setting with its potent blend of samurai action in space.
Humanity’s moved to the moon, living in massive Lunar Cities, each of which is modeled around a specific era of Japanese history. You step into the shoes of Yuzuki, the last scion of a once-thriving samurai family. You’re the sole survivor of a tragedy that left them all dead – a ronin out for revenge.
Accomplishing this means mastering the arts of the samurai while weaving the use of cybernetic enhancements for a potent blend of tech and tradition that you’ll use to paint the moon red with the blood of your enemies. It’s quite the adventure, and you’re going to have to ensure you’re well-equipped to handle everything that stands between you and the answers you seek, gravity (or the lack of it) included.
Honestly, we were already sold on the premise, and the rest of the game is just the extremely sweet icing on a delicious-looking action RPG cake. The game’s first dev diary, showcased below, definitely had something to do with that. SOL Shogunate is coming to PC and PS5, but a release window has yet to be confirmed.
