SOMA

In a somewhat unprecedented move, Frictional Games’ SOMA has received a trailer which showcases some of the creatures you’ll encounter in the game. There’s a definite Bioshock feel to these enemies though the classic traces of Amnesia: The Dark Descent, especially in the pure terror some of them inspire, can be seen. Check out the trailer below.

This is unprecedented however because Frictional didn’t really show off Amnesia’s Shadow at all prior to release. Could this dampen some of the fear you feel if you know what’s coming? We think otherwise – just because you knew to expect a single Xenomorph in Alien: Isolation didn’t mean you weren’t terrified every time it appeared. And honestly, there’s no way these are all the enemies we’ll encounter in SOMA.

SOMA releases on September 22nd for PS4, PC, Linux and Mac OS X. Will you be picking it up? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
