Sonic Adventure’s Emerald Coast Remade in Halo 5 With Forge

Halo 5 Guardians

The creativity of Forge creators in Halo 5: Guardians has been pretty rad (remember Quidditch and Pod Racing?) but this is probably one of the better homages to classic games that we’ve seen in a while. One Forge map maker Unfound actually managed to recreate Emerald Coast, the popular action stage from Sega’s Sonic Adventure, thanks to the new water features added via the Warzone Firefight update.

As per the author, the entire map wasn’t remade due to limitations (no killer orca coming after you sadly) but what’s there looks pretty damn close. Though one could race through the map on a Mongoose, it’s possible to gather a bunch of Speed Boost power-ups and just run through it, as showcased in the video. Besides, isn’t that the point of Sonic as is?

You can check out the map here and try it out for yourself. What are your thoughts on the new Forge settings and Warzone Firefight which landed last week? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more updates on Halo 5: Guardians.
