With Sonic X Shadow Generations set to launch a few months down the line, you’d imagine Sega will begin revealing new details on the expanded remaster at a faster clip in the coming weeks, but ahead of that, smaller tidbits are also continuing to filter through as always.
For instance, an update to the game’s official eShop page has revealed its estimated file size on the Nintendo Switch. As per its listing, Sonic X Shadow Generations will need about 13.1 GB of free storage on your Switch. In comparison, the last Sonic 3D remaster, Sonic Colors Ultimate, had a 6.8 GB file size, though it was, of course, a smaller game in scale. 2022’s Sonic Frontiers, meanwhile, has a 15.3 GB file size.
The upcoming remaster’s storage requirements on other platforms are yet to be revealed, though one would imagine the game will be notably larger than it is on the Switch.
Sonic X Shadow Generations launches on October 25 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
