Sonic X Shadow Generations arrives this Fall, and a new trailer is available to showcase how some of Shadow’s stages look. We’ve seen Space Colony Ark and Radical Highway in remastered form, but now we look at levels from Sonic Heroes and Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). Check it out below.

The additional space and a higher field of view are worth noting, but the improved lighting and textures steal the show. Some sections also sport new camera angles for more dramatic effect. Nevertheless, the remastered stages are surprisingly faithful to the originals, down to the eagle dropping Shadow off.

Of course, the Sonic Heroes sections lack Rouge the Bat and E-123 Omega. It should also be interesting to see how the developer translates the various vehicle sections from Sonic ’06‘s Kingdom Valley (if at all).

Sonic X Shadow Generations launches on October 25th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Alongside Shadow and two iterations of Sonic, it may feature a fourth playable character. Head here for more details.
