Sony Earns $450 Million Net Income for Fiscal Year 2012

PS3/PS2 provide $16.5 million in hardware sales.

NeoGAF user Parmenides posted a boat-load of sales figures and information regarding Sony’s fiscal year 2012 revenues. For one thing, the corporation saw a net income of $450 million, with an operating income $2.448 billion.

It has also been discovered that in terms of hardware unit sales in the fiscal year 2012, Sony managed to sell 16.5 million PS3 and PS2 units combined. The fiscal year of 2013 has so far showcased 10 million PS3 units sold according to the data. Software unit sales for both consoles totaled $153.9 million thus far.

And while the PlayStation Vita/PSP aren’t doing too bad with 7 million in combined hardware unit sales, with $28.8 million in combined software sales, they are far behind the Nintendo 3DS’s 13.95 million and $49.61 million in hardware and software unit sales respectively.
