Powers

Microsoft isn’t the only company looking to bring original TV programming to its respective console. Sony Pictures announced that it would be creating original content for PlayStation consoles and now Deadline has revealed that the first show will be Powers.

The show is an hour-long drama and based off a graphic novel by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming. It will last for 10 episodes and despite being in development for a long time, the premise is interesting enough. It involves Detective Christian Walker solving cases involving super-powered humans as they commit crimes and run amok in the normal world.

Though Powers doesn’t have a specific launch date, the series is described as being “of premium cable quality.” It was originally set for FX, which runs Sons of Anarchy and Californication, so it’s not the unlikeliest of observations.
