Sony’s Rain forecast for gamescom 2012

Posted By | On 08th, Aug. 2012

Amidst rumours of Sony unveiled three brand new titles at this year’s gamescom later this month, Sony has filed US and European trademarks for ‘Rain’, prompting rumours that not only will Sony gain creative ownership over the weather, but that Rain might be one of those three titles.

Sony has also registered a trademark for a second title, ‘Until Dawn’, which may or may not be to do with vampires.

Slightly more is known about Rain, a .gif taken from a PlayStation demo reel shows a few seconds of  cyberpunk fighting in, yes you’ve guessed it, the rain, is widely believed to be footage from Rain.

Unfortunately Rain doesn’t look like the Heavy Rain prequel we’d all hoped for, a game where Ethan Mars manages to lose none of his children.

The full detailing of the trademarks of Until Dawn (OHIM) and Rain (OHIM) can be found at the corresponding links.
