Atlus has released a number of “Summoners Guide” videos for Soul Hackers 2 in the lead-up to the RPG’s launch, with each new volume in the series focusing on different systems and aspects of the experience. Volume 5 of the series has now been released, and this one focuses exclusively on the Soul Matrix and related mechanics.

The Soul Matrix is an area accessible through the Aion home base, where players can find dungeons tied to each party member. These dungeons represent their respective party members’ mental states, and the better you get to know them, the more your Soul Level with them increases, and the more their dungeon opens up. You can learn more about the past of each party member through Vision Quests, while special quests called Aion Orders can also be unlocked.

You can check out the full video below. Like most (but not all) other trailers released for the game by Atlus, it’s in Japanese, but there’s plenty of gameplay shown off, so those looking forward to the game will still want to check it out.

Soul Hackers 2 launches on August 26 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Recently, Atlus also revealed details on the game’s current-gen versions’ graphics options, as well as system requirements on PC. Make sure to read about both through the links.
