Spider-Man PS4 Will Disable the HUD While You Traverse the City

The HUD fades out for maximum web-slinging immersion.

Insomniac Games’ Spider-Mani already looks pretty damn great, but the company isn’t just resting on its laurels. In fact, they have made further improvements to the game since E3, based on the feedback they got during E3. And one of these improvements will probably come as welcome news to those who wish nothing more than for maximum immersion as they swing their way across New York City.

You see, Insomniac has tweaked the game’s HUD so that it fades out as you traverse the city. This means no distractions from your web-slinging! Just you, New York, and however you choose to make your way across it. They should fade right back in if you get pulled into a combat situation.

Spider-Man is due out later this year, in September, exclusively for the PS4, and it looks like the game will end up continuing Sony’s winning streak of great exclusive hits when it does release.
