Enjoyed Insomniac Games’ Spiderman PS4 and hoping it comes out soon? As if the lack of a release date at E3 2016 wasn’t enough of an indication, the developer has reiterated that it won’t be coming anytime soon.

Answering a fan’s question on Twitter as to whether it would be out soon, Insomniac noted, “All we said was there was no release date. Likely not going to announce one anytime soon.”

The studio also noted that the release date on GameStop, December 26th 2017, is not the actual release. “That’s a placeholder. No release date right now.”

Spiderman PS4 is Insomniac’s next big triple A title and may be its biggest game till date so it’s a given that it will take a while to get right. Hopefully it doesn’t slip too far off in the coming years like many others PS4 exclusives have. Stay tuned for more information in the meantime and let us know when you think Spiderman would release in the comments.
