Splatoon 3

Splatoon 3’s big new update, Chill Season 2022, lands tomorrow and introduces quite a lot of content to the game. It includes Big Run, a co-op event that serves as a twist on Salmon Run. Nintendo of America has confirmed on Twitter that the event starts December 9th at 4 PM PT and ends December 11th at 4 PM PT.

Big Run is a mode where tons of Salmonids will “swim upstream once every few months.” It essentially amounts to Salmon Run taking place on regular Battle Stages (with the first event set on Wahoo World). After it’s over, players will receive different decorations based on the higher number of Golden Eggs collected in a single shift. The latter is pooled from the entire player base, but give it your all regardless.

In the meantime, two new Battle Stages, more than 50 new items as part of the new catalog, three new main weapons, and ten weapons from previous games are also coming. There’s also the new X-Battles, where S+0 Rank players can compete. Stay tuned for more details on future updates in the meantime.
