Nintendo’s Splatoon 3 is receiving three new amiibo next month. Inkling (Yellow), Octoling (Blue), and Smallfry are purchasable on November 11th. A new trailer has been released, showcasing their different functions. Check it out below.
First and foremost, scanning the amiibo will bring the character in question into the game. So you can hang out with Inkling (Yellow), pose together, snap pictures, and share them on social media. The amiibo can also save camera controls, gear, settings, and Freshest Fits presets. Scanning the amiibo will then bring them up quickly.
Finally, each amiibo unlocks special gear in-game, from a karate outfit to a post-apocalyptic wasteland-style armor. Splatoon 3 is currently available for the Nintendo Switch. Its next Splatfest is scheduled for November 11th and sees players choosing between Fire-type, Water-type, and Grass-type Pokemon to celebrate the upcoming release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
